Nobody truly knows when the Rift appeared, or if it even existed at all, but if there is something that is for certain is that one thing came from this event: metahumans were born. But, along with these fascinating creatures, something else was awoken. Somewhere in the world, among the denizens on the sea and the ghouls of the night, something threatens the existence of humanity as a whole. Cesar would learn about this the hard way. And as he and his sister, Katherine, get dragged into this conflict, they would soon find out the truth behind the Rift, and what other nefarious secrets lie in the great beyond, beyond the endless void of infinite darkness that surrounds this world.
