Mira escaped her life as a serf to become a secret villein in the city, changing her name to Giradin. There she disguised herself as a man and took up a job as a cobbler, joining the West End Cobbler's Guild. Things seemed to be going as well as they could, until a handsome knight came into her shop one day, driving off bullies and praising her craftsmanship.
