In a vast, advanced universe where interplanetary travel is as common as crossing a border, thousands of species clash, isolate, and survive under the looming shadow of an oppressive Imperial regime. For most, life is a cycle of fear. For others, it is a desperate galactic race to find the lost Prophet, a legendary entity rumored to grant the ultimate power to rule the stars. Fourteen year old Rayan wants nothing to do with empires. Living on a deserted frontier planet, he has spent his childhood working grueling hours to provide for his mother and three younger sisters. His only escape is listening to the stories of other worldly travelers, teaching himself their languages, and dreaming of a day he can unite a fractured galaxy.
