Every twenty-four hours, reality breathes. In 2047, an experimental fusion facility and a secret physics project tear open something older than the universe itself. There is no invasion, no portal army, no simple apocalypse. Just a wound in the laws that kept matter, memory, myth, and the Abyss apart. The world survives. That is the terrifying part. Cities keep functioning. Governments adapt. Families learn evacuation drills. Children grow up knowing not to answer familiar voices after a Heartbeat. Every day, somewhere on Earth, the wound may pulse: a dream shared by strangers, a corridor that leads somewhere it shouldn’t, a dead voice on a radio, or a creature wearing the shape of an old legend. At first, humanity believes the monsters come from myth. Then the truth begins to surface. The entities were not created by human belief. They existed before human history, before religion, perhaps before creation itself. Myths are not their origin. They are maps. Masks. Warning signs left by cultures that survived earlier contacts and forgot just enough to stay alive. Across decades, scientists, hunters, archivists, soldiers, priests, smugglers, and survivors fight over one impossible question: Should humanity remember the truth, if memory itself can open the door? The CICE tries to contain the impossible through law, secrecy, and force. Independent hunters work in the cracks, trusted by ordinary people more than governments. The Syndicate of Oblivion wants to erase dangerous stories before they call more horrors into the world. The Guardians of Memory preserve forbidden knowledge, even when that knowledge can kill. And deep inside classified archives, Project Origin discovers the worst possibility of all: Some entities are not invading. They are fleeing. Something in the Abyss is devouring names, identities, and entire regions of existence. As the daily Heartbeat grows unstable and the old seals begin to fail, humanity must decide whether the creatures at the door are enemies, refugees, warnings, or the first wave of something far worse. To survive, the world will need science, folklore, faith, lies, forbidden archives, and hunters willing to ask the one question no protocol can answer: When the monster begs you not to close the door, what if it is telling the truth?
