Kael never expected much from life. Too cynical to hope and too detached to care, he drifted through a world that felt already dead, wearing boredom like a second skin. Then humanity was dragged into an arena by beings beyond comprehension and ordered to survive for their amusement. People screamed. People prayed. People broke.Kael simply stared back. Something inside him cracked that day. No. Something opened. A will buried too deep to rot. An ego too cruel to accept fear. A hunger that did not ask to live, but to rise above everything that dared stand over it.And when that thing finally awakened, even the celestials felt the silence before disaster. This is not the birth of a hero. This is the rise of an undying ego. A/N: This is my masterpiece. read the chapter 0 with this song (MIIA - Dynasty) in the background. You won't regret it.
