King's Automata - On the loose

For two years, Michael has been a wanted man on the run. The cause? A mysterious, clockwork artifact left to him through his late brother’s will. Chased for it relentlessly by the government and various secret societies, Michael has exhausted every contact, friend, and relative in search of what the device actually does and why so many are willing to kill for it. With his final contact turning him away, he is left without clues, running out of options. His only remaining lead is a highly questionable one: a local rumor about a town witch. To uncover the truth of his brother’s legacy and survive the hunt, Michael must decide if he is willing to look beyond folklore and step into a world he never believed existed. PS : A) I have no idea where this story leads. Therefore actual tags and genres may change if the story continues onwards. B) This is a casual project written without a set schedule. Updates will be sporadic and completed at my own pace. I am not promising a follow up to this story at all.
