Matsudo Boys After escaping from a psychiatric hospital in Gunma Prefecture where he had been under involuntary commitment, Takeshi returned to Matsudo City for the first time in ten years, accompanied by his companion, Chambo, on a series of unpredictable adventures. Picked up by Emi and Noriko—who work as office employees by day and in the nightlife industry by night—Takeshi and Chambo made the Matsudo live music venue "Gifted" and the Matsudo club "Baker" their base of operations. As they gradually gained fame as musicians, they increasingly found themselves caught up in various troubles. Using the aliases "Ponzi" or "Goki," Takeshi and Chambo formed the band "Anachronism." They wrote and composed their own original songs and built up their live performance career in Matsudo. Along the way, they faced interference from Terry, a member of the political association "Japan Patriotic Union," and the well-known right-wing producer Ran, but they steadily built a track record of success. In 2025, they successfully completed a four-city tour covering Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture, Edogawa Ward in Tokyo, Ichikawa City in Chiba Prefecture, and Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture. Furthermore, their first album "Anachronism" and single "World Peace," which they uploaded to Spotify, were nominated for a Grammy Award, leading to their complete breakthrough. While being completely ignored by old media such as television, newspapers, and magazines, "Anachronism" became a household name—especially in Matsudo City—through internet media like YouTube and TikTok. At one point, Chambo’s health deteriorated, and he was hospitalized at the Koiwa Clinic. However, Ponzi and Chambo, who had clawed their way back from the depths, managed to persuade the medical staff through the power of music. They were blessed with many allies: the mysterious elderly gentleman "Hiyatoi-san" whom they met online; Tsuyoshi-shacho of the welfare office who had looked after them in the past; Haruka-chan; Shoma-san; Hoshino-san, a fellow patient from their time in Isesaki; Yuzawa-san on bass; Hideo-san on drums; Emi and Noriko; Miyu-chan; Murakami-san, the manager of club "Baker"; and Saito-san, the manager of the live venue "Gifted." Having made a miraculous recovery from the Koiwa Clinic, Ponzi and Chambo visited the Tokyo University of the Arts in Ueno to ask the genius musician and polymath Ken Ito in detail about the essence of music. Ken Ito had been researching the true nature of "emotion" and the real role of art. He was conducting his own unique research into "sonology," analyzing music from the perspective of physics. Following this, Ponzi began work on the production of Anachronism’s second album, "Écriture."
