At the request of his closest friend, Alphonse ascends the throne of Rhendor and is revered by the entire kingdom. But a year later, he is betrayed by his student, Theodore—the former king's little brother. But death isn't the end. With the help of a higher being, the Mage King is reincarnated as Remus Dalian. Although all of his memories remain intact, he only retains a small fraction of his magical power. Forced to walk a different path, Remus switches from his trusty wooden staff to a deadly steel sword. He must start from scratch to master the blade and overcome all the challenges ahead. Leaving his old identity behind, Remus pursues the title of Sword Saint while searching for the truth behind Theodore’s betrayal. But can the former Mage King really survive without magic? Will he be able to discover the truth or will his second life end in death too? What to expect: - Reincarnation in the same world & timeline - Steady progression, character growth, and world-building - Weak to strong main character - Former Mage King becomes a Sword Saint in new life - No harem - New chapter M-F @ 3:15 PM PST
