Lattice Breaker

Lattice Breaker

Most people believe the world is solid. Huanlin used to believe that too. Then the Fold chose her. It killed her, brought her back, and left something inside her that should not belong to any human body. Now she can see the seams underneath reality: the cracks between places, the rules behind impossible powers, and the thing pulling from the other side. Kubao, her older brother, knows more than he should. He has survived the Fold before, but survival did not make him heroic. It made him careful, tired, and very good at lying. Huanlin is newly marked, dangerously impossible, and still trying to understand what happened to her. Kubao knows the Fold has rules. He also knows that the more someone understands those rules, the more the Fold starts paying attention. And the Fold does not like being understood. Lattice Breaker is a two-lead dark progression fantasy about siblings, impossible powers, broken worlds, and the cost of learning how reality really works.
