A dying world. A corrupt empire. And an apex predator made of code. Kael Draven is a survivor of ashes. When the tyrannical Dominion empire descended upon the mining world of Verrion-9, it took them only two days to crush the resistance and two hours to burn the cities to the ground. Marooned in a relentless red dust storm, outgunned, and down to his last few rifle charges, Kael’s fight should have ended in the sand. But Verrion-9 hid a forbidden secret. In the smoking crater of a defeated enemy war machine, Kael discovers a mysterious, shifting shard of liquid biotech—the stolen, classified V.I.P.E.R. protocol. Slithering into his veins and rewriting his DNA, the symbiotic tech fuses with his body, encasing him in an evolving suit of matte-black and crimson armor. Suddenly, Kael is no longer just a desperate soldier. He is the host of an adaptable, high-tech weapon that calculates every breath, sharpens his senses to a lethal edge, and forms devastating energy blades out of his own armor. Now, the hunter becomes the hunted. With a handful of survivors depending on him, Kael must master the unpredictable, terrifying evolution of the V.I.P.E.R. system to wage a one-man war against the Dominion's endless mechanical fleets. They wanted to pacify the sector. Instead, they woke a god in the machine
