by Saint-Novice
The government has been experimenting on the people. Lizard men ruled behind the scenes. The moon was a satellite spying on him. And maybe they really were living in a matrix. These were things Selic would never have considered, yet the predicaments he had found himself in had made him doubt everything. Selic did not even remember closing his eyes. Yes, he had been drowsy. And yet he found himself in a place that was not home. A seven-minute bus ride home could turn into a fight for survival in an instant. Selic would come face-to-face with scenarios that could break and unmake a man. Man versus man. Man versus society. Man versus himself. Man versus God. Man versus the unknown. The Haunt would surely break him—but would Selic keep standing every time he fell, shoulders squared and fists clenched, ready to fight on, with the hope of pulling himself out of these dire straits and returning to his loved ones: his worried mother, his anxious father, and his sweet, adorable twin brother and sister? Along the way, Selic would meet others and discover that he was not alone in this madness. He would make friends and enemies alike. He would forge bonds that transcended family. In the end, returning home would not be the only reason he kept fighting.
