A soul that doesn’t belong to this world wakes up in a dead body on a riverbank, in a land where the dead get eaten. Evan has no magic, no memory of how he got here, and a face that won’t show anything he feels, which he doesn’t understand yet. This lack of expression is about to save his life repeatedly.Everything in this world can see what stands in front of it: what you are, where you rank, how much power you hold, all at a glance. They look at Evan and get nothing back. No reading. No rank. Just a blank space where the answer should be. The only things that come back blank are those too far above them to measure, so everyone draws the same conclusion. This is something they should be bowing to.Not one of them can see that the calm on his face is just a body that won’t obey him or that the silence comes from a man who has no idea what’s happening and is too scared to speak. So Evan plays along. It’s all he has.The bluff keeps him alive, and it keeps growing. A princess who must know what he is. A discarded hero searching for the body he woke up in. And, eventually, gods who can’t read him either and hate the sensation. None of them will figure out what he actually is.Neither will he. Not for a long time. This is a dark, funny, slow-burn isekai about being mistaken for a god while you’re just trying to survive.
