An eight-year-old boy. An unforgiving universe. A destiny that will shatter the heavens. For Dominic, a traditional birthday milestone is violently transformed into a nightmare when a sudden, brutal cataclysm tears through his peaceful valley, leaving his world fractured and his innocence shattered. Now he must carry a burden far too heavy. Can he learn to survive behind "The Mask"—a cold psychological shield designed to lock away his mounting grief? But hiding in the aftermath of tragedy isn't enough; Dominic doesn't just want safety—he demands the truth. When a powerful, non-human race of divine protectors arrives to investigate the destruction, an unexpected path opens before him. Forced to choose between a burning thirst for answers and the new responsibilities he holds as part of a community of survivors, Dominic must step onto a treacherous, unconventional journey. These humble beginnings are not for the faint of heart. You will read of tragedies and unanswered pain for one so young, but it will also explain how—and maybe why—this boy becomes the Godslayer within CatalystLore.
