Marcus Freeman was a World Bank engineer assessing a crumbling dam in Mali. Then the dam failed. He drowed in 2026 and woke up in 850, on the same riverbank, twelve hundred years earlier. No system. No magic. No cheat skills. Just a mind full of engineering, a body broken by the fall, and a village of eighty people who think river water is holy and guinea worms are a spiritual punishment. He resets a compound fracture with his bare hands. He builds a water filter from charcoal and sand. He teaches them to make biochar, to rotate crops, to forge high-carbon steel in a clay furnace. He doesn't conquer. He doesn't lead an army. He builds.
