Mysteries of Alcove

It's just a nice, good mystery. It centers around two detectives who must find out what happened to a missing CEO. Prologue: Tuesday, August 3, 2014, 23:45 Our story begins on a very humid night where the air was muggy and damp. On Felders Street, all the houses were lined up in rows and looked the same as the one next to it. The street lights had an eerie orange glow like the night before. The only reason that street was different from the others is that it was near the woods. The crickets were singing, an owl was hooting, and a few other critters could be heard as well. Everything was the same as any other night. However, there was a man walking home after a long day at work. He often took this route, but usually by car. He wore a suit and fedora while also holding a briefcase in his right hand while talking on the phone with his left. “Mr. Matton, this is Mr. Warner, you weren’t at the office today, and you didn’t call in. Thomas Knight has threatened to stop investing in the company if we don’t cut costs. You better have a good explanation for your absence when you come in tomorrow.” Mr. Warner was practically growling at the phone when a noise came from the bushes behind him.  One moment later, Mr. Warner was gone. (I wrote this in tenth grade, go easy on me.)
