Daily updates at 6:10 pm ET Mistakes have consequence. Action elicits reaction, as does life elicit death. MONOLITH was truly one of the greatest games to ever grace the earth. But, a new thing has taken hold very, very recently. Formerly a small group of friends, close to the original developer of the game, have recently become quite popular online with a large majority of communities over their hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of set story roleplays. Traction and fame, burdened below the sudden view of millions, the group of thirteen became the face of MONOLITH, with their names rising with haste through the leaderboards until only they stood above all.  It was a global phenomenon. Millions gathered with each dropped teaser and episode, more and more swelling hype, until, finally, the day reached that of before the season finale. It was a setup for perhaps two or three more sets of episodes, then the group planned on resting their story. And so, on the final day of update 1.5.063, the thirteen greatest members of the MONOLITH leaderboard logged on for the day, and all was well...all was truly well...until Bram found himself within what should've been nothing more than a game. Thrust unto a world both known and as foreign as the stars above, Bram, his own body denied to him, now finds himself on the cusp of the apocalypse with none but him, old friends, and new allies to rely on. What is a man to do against the world, against angels and demons and dragons alike? How could he, nothing more than a roleplayer in a video game, thrive in a new world? Come with me on a deconstruction of the Isekai genre, meant to explore what it means to encounter new cultures, a new world, and foreign morality in a land where life has no inherit meaning, a deep dive into overcoming differences born of the past to create a united future for all who wish to improve themselves.
