Chasing you in the rain

Synopsis — Chasing You in the Rain After losing her father, seventeen-year-old Jane Frost finds herself trapped between grief and a question no one seems capable of answering: What is the meaning of life? At an elite academy where intelligence, influence, and hidden power quietly shape every interaction, survival is not measured by grades alone. Alliances are currency. Trust is fragile. Kindness is often strategy disguised as sincerity. Jane enters school carrying loneliness, unanswered questions, and wounds she has never learned to speak about. Then Zack Fin arrives. Blond-haired, sharp-eyed, calm to the point of unsettling, Zack seems impossibly composed—a boy who speaks little, notices everything, and somehow makes Jane feel understood in ways she cannot explain. For the first time in years, the world begins to feel less empty. But beneath polished hallways and perfect uniforms, something darker waits. Psychological rivalries turn classrooms into battlefields. Brilliant minds manipulate from the shadows. Friendships fracture under pressure. Loyalty becomes uncertain. And people begin revealing terrifying truths behind carefully crafted masks. As Jane is pulled deeper into a world of emotional warfare, ambition, secrets, and dangerous games, she is forced to confront unsettling questions: Can people ever truly be understood? Does love heal—or destroy? And if forgiveness exists… does it mean trust can survive? Because sometimes the people who protect you are the same people capable of breaking you. Dark, philosophical, and emotionally devastating, Chasing You in the Rain is a psychological romance-thriller about grief, ambition, morality, betrayal, and the terrifying weight of loving someone you may never fully understand.
