Nightmare Master: I Gain Power From Death

Hey there! If you’re open to stepping outside pure xianxia/wuxia, I’d love to recommend my story **Nightmare Master: I Gain Power From Death**. It’s a slow-burn grimdark urban fantasy with zero systems or LitRPG mechanics, all focused on the main character’s brutal, gradual transformation.  Every night, he is forced back into that twisted dreamscape, ravaged by an unknown disaster. Death waits around every corner here, and dying doesn’t mean the end: it bleeds back into his waking life as cruel, lingering side effects. He has no choice but to grow stronger, one kill at a time. In the real world, he’s already stirred up a storm. That night, he crossed the line with his desk mate He Wei. Still sticky with the mess they’d made together, he took the tissue stained with both their fluids and stuffed it into the rich bully’s underwear. Now the bastard is out for blood — obsessed with revenge. But Lu Zhao isn’t scared.Because the nightmare realm holds something far worse than a rich kid’s tantrum. The story moves at a deliberate pace, leaning hard into character growth, psychological tension, and slow worldbuilding. If you enjoy watching a character’s strength and resolve build slowly over time, you might vibe with it!
