The Forgery of Worlds

The Forgery of Worlds

AdventureCozyFantasyFirst ContactHistorical

Kazuki was born with a curse: everyone he loves will die. First his father, then his mother, then his closest friend in war, and finally the girl who taught him how to laugh without hoarding the moment. As a Memory Weaver, he can extract memories as luminous threads and keep them in his chest—but hoarding is slowly killing him. His heart becomes a reliquary of ghosts. When a mysterious letter leads him and his five friends—a vampire, an elf, a fairy, and two humans—to the legendary Sunken Library of Alexandera, Kazuki believes he'll find answers. Instead, he finds a forgery. The Codex is blank. The only truth is absence. What follows is a war, a love, and an unmaking. Kazuki must choose: carry his memories until his heart bursts, or let them go into the Well of Unmaking and forget everyone he's ever loved. A bittersweet fantasy tragedy about whether a beautiful lie can be truer than a painful truth.
