The Eerstroun Chronicles

The Eerstroun ChroniclesA world where character is forged in fire. The story may begin in the city of Calisandra, but behind it lies a mountain of loss and suffering that bleeds into reality. The protagonist, Parter Bray, a former general of punitive expeditions, has wandered foreign lands alone for years. He hunts dark magic—and clearly, something more. His motives are an enigma; his past is cloaked in gloom and despair.Any passerby catching his gaze would say he carries not a mere stone, but a colossal mountain in his soul—a burden he reveals to no one. He walks a world where trust is scarce, barely finding the strength for even the slightest sincerity with strangers. From city to city, village to village, he hunts down witches and warlocks to slaughter them like rabid dogs. No one knows why.A warlock himself, he breaks curses instead of casting them upon a world he despises—a world he clings to only for the sake of those close to him. It is a cruel existence, yet rare moments of mercy sustain his hope for something better amidst the absolute dark.Parter harbors no illusions, approaching every deed with cold pragmatism. Because, deep down, he still cares for the world that tore him apart.
