Akira Fudo, a gentle boy who would cry at the slightest nudge, was granted the terrifying power of a demon. He became Devilman, a being who could retain his human heart even with the monstrous strength of a devil. But this power came with consequences, of his best friend, Ryo Asuka, revealing the existence of demons to the world, and the subsequent, brutal descent of humanity into paranoid slaughter. But that where it ended, in blood and gore, the eventual extinction of everything. Until it wasn't, and it came to Akira as a vision that ends with blood and fire, with the love of his life, Miki, torn apart limb by limb by a mob of her terrified neighbors. However, this time, it will not be a prophecy. It will be a memory. Haunted by this apocalyptic foresight, Akira shatters the chain of events. On the eve of the world's end, he makes a desperate choice for his family's survival but will he be able to halt the apocalypse put forth by his own friend, and make it out alive, as a human?
