Lorian Vale is a charismatic, road-born con artist who survives by weaving intricate lies and wearing the masks of whoever he needs to be, until a high-stakes heist goes wrong. By his side is Ketta, a cynical, highly efficient kobold who views the world in terms of threats, exits, and utility, yet possesses a dangerous, volatile magic that marks her as an outcast. Bound together by survival, this mismatched pair must navigate a ruthless city while balancing Lorian’s penchant for trouble against Ketta’s cold, tactical precision, all while harboring a mysterious secret that might just cost them everything.
