Light After the Storm

Jean was not reborn as a hero. He was reborn as prey. After dying during the end of the world, he awakens in another realm inside the body of a white rabbit: weak, voiceless, and locked in a cage. In a town where the rain awakens violence and no one seems truly free, Jean retains only one thing from his previous life: his mind. At first, he believes that surviving will be enough. Then he meets Carmelia, a former adventurer broken by betrayal, and thinks that perhaps she might be the first light in the midst of that rotten world. He is wrong. The true light appears later: an innocent girl named Isabella, someone just as fragile as he is, someone who is also being destroyed by a world that does not forgive weakness. And once Jean understands that, he will stop wondering why he was brought there. He will have only one reason to press on: If this world wants to break them, then he will find a way to break something first. After the storm comes the light. But before he can see it, Jean will have to survive being that which everyone devours.
