Twenty years after his failure, Alaric Thorne awakens in a world that has long moved on his loss. The people of the kingdom he once bled for have accepted new authority. Haunted by the responsibility of his shortcomings, and his inability to accept that the world around him has changed, he wanders a once familiar city, meeting faces new and old, taking him on a journey which gives him the opportunity to reflect.
