Miko Aizawa always believed ghosts were just stories people told to explain the dark. So when she and her friends Sota, Reina, and Kenji launch Phantom Files, a paranormal YouTube channel dedicated to debunking hauntings and exposing urban legends, it feels like the perfect chance to go viral. Armed with cameras, homemade ghost-hunting equipment, occult research, and way too much confidence, the four friends dive headfirst into abandoned schools, forgotten hospitals, cursed homes, and places locals refuse to even mention. At first, it’s fun. Strange noises become content. Shadowy figures become thumbnails. Every terrifying moment becomes another spike in subscribers. Until something follows them home. What begins as harmless investigations quickly spirals into a nightmare as each encounter reveals spirits unlike anything they imagined. Some stalk silently in the dark. Some mimic familiar voices. Some twist reality itself. Others hunt with terrifying violence. And with every investigation, the line between entertainment and survival grows thinner. But the worst part? The hauntings don’t feel random. Each spirit seems tied to a deeper mystery connected to a strange ghost book Reina discovered, as though the team was never uncovering these entities... But awakening them. As Phantom Files explodes in popularity, millions begin watching their rise. But fame means nothing if they don’t survive long enough to enjoy it. Because some mysteries should never be filmed. And some ghosts refuse to stay forgotten.
