Nightveil Academy: A lesson in Witchcraft

Eighteen-year-old Valerie Dunne has spent her whole life believing she was broken. While every witch and warlock around her could wield magic with ease, Valerie could barely summon a gust of wind. Then, on her eighteenth birthday, her parents reveal the truth: she was adopted after her real parents died in a violent magical conflict. Hours later, a letter arrives from the mysterious Nightveil Academy of Witchcraft. A secret school hidden from the rest of the world. A place where witches, demons, humans, and creatures hunted by society are allowed to exist together. Valerie has no idea why she was chosen. But Nightveil does. As strange powers begin awakening inside her, accidents turn dangerous, secrets unravel, and Valerie finds herself drawn toward the cold son of the academy's headmaster, who seems to know far more about her than he should.
