Dark Magic

Ryan Anderson had a good life. A wife he loved. Three children who filled the house with noise. A quiet Sunday routine of church, family dinners, and the small moments that made life meaningful. Then a semi truck ran a red light. Ryan died. But death was not the end. He wakes again… in another world. Not in heaven. Not with God. Not with his family. Instead he is reborn in a small wooden cabin to two strangers who greet him with tears of joy. And one more cruel twist. Ryan Anderson is no longer Ryan. He has been reborn as a girl named 'Ruby'. His wife is gone. His children are gone. His world is gone. But Ruby refuses to let them stay dead. In a world where magic exists, there is one form of power feared above all others. Dark Magic. The magic that whispers to spirits. The magic that touches the veil between life and death. Ruby will learn it. She will study it. Master it. Break every rule if she must. Because somewhere beyond the veil are the voices of the family she lost. Even if the world calls her a monster… She will see them again.
