The Price of Pneuma

In the walled town of Xaymaca, survival has a brutal price. Every citizen is a pawn in a rigged game, where families must sacrifice their own lives to give their children strength—an act the town calls an honor, but seventeen year old Amon knows is murder. When Amon attempts to flee the ritual, he is caught and violently cast through a portal into the unknown. He awakens stranded in a harsh, alien jungle filled with lethal myths and strange, sentient creatures. His only hope for survival is a hidden bunker run by Gemini, an advanced AI that operates on cold, unyielding logic that he is not familiar with. Now, a traumatized boy must learn to trust a machine that cares nothing for his humanity, only the rigid requirements of staying alive.
