The Boy of my dreams

Seventeen-year-old Riley Bennett thought she was investigating a cold case. Instead, she fell in love with it. After the mysterious death of Derek Ryder begins haunting her dreams, Riley becomes obsessed with uncovering what really happened the night he died. The deeper she digs into Derek’s past, the more the line between dreams and reality begins to blur. Strange nightmares, hidden hospital records, and a grieving mother with terrifying secrets slowly pull Riley into a world filled with trauma, heartbreak, and love that refuses to die. But Derek isn’t just a ghost haunting her dreams. He’s funny, protective, broken, and somehow still the only person who truly understands her. As Riley uncovers the horrifying truth behind Derek’s murder, she realizes some monsters aren’t real at all—sometimes fear itself becomes the thing that destroys us. Heartbreaking, haunting, and deeply romantic, The Boy of My Dreams is a story about grief, healing, and a love powerful enough to survive death itself.
