In a world scarred by strange dimensional events known as Threads, certain people awaken with abilities that set them apart, known as Awakened. Alongside them are powerful artifacts, dropped from the creatures that emerge from these disasters, each one holding unpredictable power of its own. Leon is just one of the new Awakened thrown into a month-long training program meant to prepare them for survival. What should have been a chance to grow stronger quickly turns into something far more dangerous. The academy is full of intense rivalries, unstable powers, and people who are already far ahead of him. Still, Leon manages to find his place among friends who feel just as lost as he is. But the real world doesn’t wait for them to catch up. Out in the Threads, something far worse is waiting, things that don’t care how new or unprepared they are. And as Leon is pushed further into battles he barely understands, he starts to realize the truth might be bigger than anything he was trained to handle. Somewhere along the way, surviving isn’t going to be enough.
