Tyler Jackson wakes up in a fantasy world with no memory of his death and the worst possible hero build — a pacifist monk barred from most magic, unable to wield weapons or cast damaging spells. Where most heroes would despair, Tiro sees a puzzle. A former game-exploit-hunter, Tiro systematically dismantles the magic system, wringing devastating potential out of spells never intended for solo combat. His unorthodox use of barriers leaves his opponents baffled. His starting weapon may have been a non-damaging, bubble wand, but Tiro finds a way to make it lethal. An act of kindness inadvertently gains Tiro an exotic companion — an intelligent slime named Blue — who can use Holy Magic and manipulate her density. The gods may have summoned him, but they are the ones who should fear him.
