Some debts are paid in blood. Some are paid in everything else. Koshida Kenji didn't ask to be a warrior. He asked for enough coins for his father's medicine. But the World didn't care. He was forced to step into wars he doesn't understand - carrying a power he would never ask for. Fighting beside those he's only beginning to trust, and losing them one by one to an enemy that seems to know him better than he knows himself. He will win battles. He will bury friends. He will become exactly what the darkness needs him to become. And he won't realize it until it's too late. The Equinox is a dark fantasy about the cost of survival, the weight of what we carry for the ones we love, and the cruelest truth of the world. Why is the Light so cold and the dark is yet so warm?
