Xade and Pari fight to get off of the rust-sand planet that has defined their lives. Separately they have endured the loss of their parents. Her father died to rust worms the hunters of noise and vibration and his mother was killed in a Syndicate attack when he was 10. Together they use their skills to compliment one another and get through dangers and, hopefully, escape the planet of their birth.
