by Dela Amekporfor
Six children walk into a cave and find a stranger chained to the floor. He can't finish a technique a child should know. He can't explain what's hunting them. He can't promise they'll survive what's coming. But he knows the rules underneath the rules. And the rules say: everything that grows gets harvested. Unless it chooses not to.
