Kael, a 14-year-old boy who is literally the worst player on his entire game server (Rank 4,847 of 4,847), grinds his way up the ranks with help from a kind stranger named Lyra. Then one night, the game announces emergency shutdown with only 13 minutes notice — and the two of them are the only players who stay online to see what happens. They discover a hidden library inside the game’s code, where an ancient NPC reveals that the shutdown will erase thousands of players permanently. Kael has to solo seven psychological trials to reach Rank 1 and earn the right to save everyone. He wins — not because he’s the strongest, but because he learned patience, trust, and how to be okay with who he used to be.
