Willis wakes on a lifeboat with all the memory of how he got there, but no memory of his last day on Earth. Reincarnated into Angharra, a world of magic and three thousand years of peace, he quickly learns that peace came at a cost. A monument in the capital bears the inscription: “Even dying, he did not yield.” It’s the last echo of the war that birthed the nation, and the warning everyone has forgotten. One goddess hasn’t. As divine tensions rise and ancient protections fail, Willis finds himself caught between the gods who built the peace and the one determined to end it. And the inscription’s final line becomes a challenge he can’t ignore.
