The taken girl and the lost hunter

If there was one thing that defined her as a person, it was loneliness. No matter what happened — whether she was working in some rundown place selling her body or facing the arrival of a virus that took over people’s minds — she would always be alone. When she saw the chance to join that seemingly perfect group, she didn’t hesitate for a second, even if it meant inventing a life she had never lived and pretending to come from a less humble background than her own.
