by Lucifer&Lillith
Lucien wakes in a world that should not exist. One moment, he is falling through the fractured remains of a life already collapsing under grief, isolation, and fading memories. The next, he awakens inside Caelum Academy, the most prestigious hunter institution, a place he recognizes from the show he watched, "Aetheris." With no records, no identity, and no explanation for how he appeared inside the academy’s protected barriers, Lucien becomes an anomaly the system cannot classify. To the government, he is a problem waiting to happen. To the academy, he is something far more dangerous: unknown. Placed under the supervision of the academy’s cold and calculating security chief, Soren, Lucien is offered a choice: disappear into a system that will never understand him, or remain at Caelum Academy and learn to survive among hunters, prodigies, and future monsters. He chooses the academy. There, he is forced into close contact with Elias, a fellow peer whose warmth cuts through isolation with unsettling ease. Elias is steady where Lucien is fractured, compassionate where Lucien expects distance, and stubborn enough to keep reaching out even when Lucien tries to retreat behind walls of detachment. But the closer Lucien grows to the people around him, the more terrifying his memories become. Because some of the students laughing in the hallways are people he remembers dying. And every attempt to change the future may already be changing it into something worse. As hidden forces move beneath the academy’s polished surface, Lucifer must navigate a world of hunters, Anima, political control, and dangerous bonds while struggling to answer the question at the center of his existence: Was he brought to Caelum Academy for a reason? Or is he the first sign that something has gone catastrophically wrong with reality itself?
