Aliens never came from the stars — they hid in our myths. Vampires. Monsters. The paranormal. Trent Slater was engineered to hunt them. A government‑made weapon turned rogue bounty hunter, he keeps New Haven's shadows clean of anything that shouldn’t be here. But when Susie — the one person who ever pulled him back from the edge — is taken by a vampire coven, Trent tears open the underworld to get her back. To save her, he’ll have to confront the truth he’s been running from: the monster inside him is waking up.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 5–9 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
