The Day the Dragon Decided to let a Human Live

(Sorry, I was on vacation. Will post regularly now!) New Chapters every other Monday! Kif, a young man, enters a cavern under false promises of joining a hunter's party. Instead, he triggers an ancient trap that delivers him straight into the claws of the Ruby Dragon Niera. In her human form, she is fierce; in her true draconic form, she is a force of nature feared across the realm. But when Kif refuses to fight and surrenders without resistance, his unexpected defiance of instinct entangles his fate with hers. Puzzled and intrigued, Niera chooses to spare him.  Eight years later, Kif has become the loyal servant and strong warrior of the once‑dreaded Dragon Queen. But when he returns from a nearby town, a band of mysterious assassins follows him home. They know exactly who his master is-and using forbidden magic, they steal the Dragon's Heart, the relic that allows Niera to shift into her dragon form. Without it, she is trapped in her human body, left with only fragments of her former power: fire, horns, and a tail. Yet the Dragon's Heart is more than a relic; it holds unimaginable magic.  Forced into uneasy alliances, hunted by new enemies, and driven into lands long forgotten, the dragon feared by all and the servant who once surrendered must now stand together. Bound by fate and a single moment of unexpected mercy, they face a rising threat no one foresaw. And it all began with Kif's quiet act of surrender, and his first fleeting taste of freedom.
