Legacy of Truniss

Slave girl, weapon, pet, fugitive, and condemned war criminal... I was or am all of these things. I am the Sacred Beast, but you may simply call me Sacred for short. My life has been one of hardship. Born into bondage, I was made a divine weapon by the leader of the powerful sky gods known as humans. These ancient beings came to our world of Dura in an era lost to the mists of time. They conquered Dura and we people known as durai who lived peacefully there and then the wicked primates spread their cruel empire and their vanity across the sea of stars. I escaped their clutches centuries ago and had hidden from them ever since out in the farthest reaches of this war-torn world they have wrought. You see, the durai, my people, seek to use me against these vile devil apes that invaded our world, but I want no part in this conflict. I want only a life of peaceful solitude. Yet what I want has never mattered before and does not matter now.  Sadly, I was recently captured at last by agents of the humans and they seek now to forcefully march me back to the human lands to face punishment for my crime. What crime, you wonder? Well, you see to escape them originally, I betrayed my master, the human ruler known as the God-King Truniss, and through that betrayal I sealed the so-called God-King's fate. I do not regret this! I am proud to have killed him, in fact! Yet, if I do not escape my escort I might very well be doomed. Dare you come with me on this dark journey that awaits me? Be warned that I have foreseen a grim future laying ahead for me, and most importantly, a very mature one. Only adults should proceed, minors must turn back now.
