Book 1 of a planned multi-volume dark fantasy epic. This is a dark fantasy with gothic horror, medical/body horror, and paranormal romance elements, centred around an extreme, desperate gamble taken long ago to protect a forbidden, unbreakable bond. We begin the story following Mary, a 20 year old college drop out with no direction in life, who wakes up out of her body every night. Every morning she wakes up with nosebleeds and progressively failing health. These terrifying 'ghost dreams' are actively killing her. She's repeatedly visited by ancestors that she swears she knew before -- but how could she when past lives don't exist?! What Mary doesn't realize is that her fragile human body is hiding a dangerous secret, and the amnesia keeping it safe is starting to break. An ancient elemental war is bleeding into the modern world. Mary is at the dead centre of it, and she must unlock her past-life memories and break her family's curses before her mortal body gives out completely. BOOK COMPLETE  Note: You Do Not need to understand Spanish to read this story. Mary herself does not speak Spanish, so readers discover the meaning alonside her. Author Suggestion: Don't skip the journal entries at the top of each chapter.
