A Day of Masquerade shows a person living with a deep division between their real self and the identity others see. From when they wake to when they lie in bed unable to sleep, every daily action - looking in the mirror, getting dressed, speaking, and walking through crowds - requires quiet endurance. The story explores dysphoria and silent grief from erasing oneself. It asks for a world where people have space to exist as they are.
