Alan died the same way he lived the last few years of his life: drunk, directionless, and face-down on the pavement. At twenty-seven, he’s already lost everything worth caring about. His career in tech collapsed after a brutal layoff, his long-term relationship fell apart, and alcoholism slowly hollowed out whatever ambition he had left. Rock bottom finally arrives on a rainy night when a split-second act of courage gets him killed. Instead of the afterlife, Alan wakes up inside a dungeon. Armed with a strange RPG-like system, terrible starting stats, and a sarcastic interface that seems far too amused by human suffering, Alan is given one chance at a new life. Survive the dungeon, grow stronger, and clear its depths to earn a single wish. There’s just one problem. The system keeps giving him alcohol. Now trapped in a brutal world of monsters, magic, and impossible choices, Alan must fight not only to survive, but to become someone worth saving. Because no matter how far he climbs, he can’t outrun the person he used to be. And in a dungeon designed to prey on weakness, relapse might be deadlier than any monster.
