A Tale of the Jade Road. (Original work, not MTL)[Cross-posting to Royal Road and Scribblehub.]***In the Gnam Mountains of Gyang, Tsepak Sprin, senior disciple of the Tiānkōng Sect, is content to follow her beloved master without any other ambition. When spiritual animals begin to lose their sentience, her master joins the investigation, and so of course, she's going to follow.Unfortunately for her, there is only so far her master will let her go. Untethered, she finds herself in unlikely company - travellers from lands beyond her imagining, including one very strange character who might not even be human at all...-This version of the story has had minimal editing.-***The Tales of the Jade Road are a collection of stories set in the same universe, a historical East Asian-inspired fantasy world where the East and the West are linked by a long trading route, the Jade Road. Other Tales include: I'm really not the Saviour!, At the Water's Edge, Eitsu's Nine Lives, Ginseng and Yew, Blackbird in the Pale Hollow, and Shuoma.
