[RE-GENESIS: Official Synopsis] Ju-Hee was called the Devil’s Seed from the moment she took her first breath. Ji-Young entered Village 3-8, led by Baek-Ho—a hunter from the City. In Village 3-8, no one leaves. To the north stands the City, sealed behind an iron wall and worshipped as humanity’s last sanctuary. To the south waits the Forest, soaked in the RE virus, where any human who enters is said to cough blood, mutate, and die. Between them, the villagers survive by paying tribute. Grain. Labor. Silence. But when the harvest fails, the City sends the Shadows. And the Shadows do not take grain. They take heads. Ju-Hee, the daughter of Da-Yeon, grows up beneath whispers, hatred, and fear, blamed for the night her mother survived. Ji-Young, the daughter of Baek-Ho, grows up beside her, carrying questions no one in the Village dares to ask. But before the girls can challenge the world, they have to survive it. A broken hunter must learn how to hold a child without hurting her. A wounded mother must learn how to step outside again. And a starving Village, trapped between the Wall and the Forest, must remember how to become human. A leaking hut becomes a home. A forbidden forest gives back wood. A village that once burned only part of its dead learns to send a person away whole. This is a cozy post-apocalyptic story about two girls born inside a cage, and the broken adults who rebuild a home before the girls are old enough to break it. Why does the City demand tribute? Why does no one return from the School? Why are the Shadows called monsters, when the City commands them? And if the Forest truly means death... why is everyone so afraid of someone proving otherwise? Together, Ju-Hee and Ji-Young begin to see the cracks in the world built around them. The Forest. The Wall. The School. The City. The lie holding everything together. They were supposed to inherit the cage. Instead, they will search for a way out. Thirty years later, a prisoner kneels in the rain before thousands, condemned for destroying city order. The mayor demands a confession. The prisoner smiles. Then spits blood in his face. To understand why the blade falls, you have to return to Village 3-8. To the girl called the Devil’s Seed. To the hunter’s daughter from the City. And to the beginning of the escape that would shake the world. Note: Originally written in Korean and translated into English by the author with AI assistance and manual revision.

Both levers trail the field

Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.

Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 50–149 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
