Telan Valdynir is a renowned bounty hunter, but his success is drowned out by the haunting memories of his past futile sacrifices. Eager to distract himself from his pain, he accepts a clandestine assignment to kill the Duke of Satveim, the tyrannical dragon Krakrenora, a member of the draconic ruling class that long ago conquered the land. Telan knows the task is foolhardy, but the payout is too large to turn down. The plan must be flawless – one false move will lead the hunter’s desperate team to a brutal execution by dragonfire.
