Certain rare people, known as Listeners, can hear these Whispers and ease the pain hidden inside human hearts. Seventeen-year-old Eryn Vale is one of them. Everyone in Lumeria comes to Eryn with their grief, fears, regrets, and secrets. He listens to broken souls every day, carrying their pain like stones in his chest.
