Zakalwe wakes up in a hospital in Backlund, with most of his memories missing. Unbeknownst to him, he is already a small cog in a huge conspiracy that's been set in motion years ago. Can he survive the hospital, and more importantly, the horrors of his past? ---------------Primarily an LoTM fanfic, but will incorporate elements from another facourite sci-fi series of mine, The Culture (by Iain M Banks). Note: Updates will currently be sporadic, for now.
