At sixteen, every elf in Elyndor receives their Fate Mark — a living tattoo inked by the ancient magic of the High Council. Some are destined to heal. Others to fight. Most accept their mark without question, believing the Council’s sacred words: The tattoos never lie. Lukan has spent his life preparing for the ceremony, hoping for a future worthy of his family name. But when dark black ink eruates across his skin, threaded with a forbidden blue glow no one has seen in centuries, the ceremony descends into silence. Fear spreads through the Council chambers. Elders whisper of cursed bloodlines, lost prophecies, and a fate that should have remained buried. Instead of receiving honor, Lukan is given a command: Seek the truth behind the High Council.
